Fmr Uttarakhand CM TSR writes to present CM, TSR to grant permission for Chardham Yatra to those who’d been vaccinated twice

After terming the dreaded Covid 19 virus as an organism that has every right to exist as we over clever human beings live n are deadly busy destroying this virus leading to its further multiplication, creating a controversy with his vedio going viral last month, the former chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has written a letter to the present Uttarakhand CM demanded grant of permission for Chardham Yatra to all those pilgrims, who’d been innoculated with two doses of Vaccines viz Covishield or Covaxin.

The former chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Rawat was today speaking to media men in Rishikesh creating another controversy, with the official spokesman of the government cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal, out rightly rejecting his proposal or demand saying that peoples’ lives could not be risked during these critical Covid times by allowing them to conduct Chardham Yatra, even if they have been innoculated twice.

It may be recalled that during the Mahakumbh held in Haridwar there had been thousands of cases of infections further spreading in villages n towns of Uttarakhand with the Haridwar Mahakumbh serving as a super spreader festival in which unfortunately lot of patients allegedly died of Covid 19 for want of adequate treatment.

Today there are about 3.34 lakh cases in Uttarakhand with nearly 7 thousand fatalities ( 6.699) though people say that the figure would have gone much higher, had every death related to Covid been registered transparently.

According to the latest news reports, the former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is of the opinion that granting of permission to those who’d been innoculated with two doses of Vaccines will not only help the small shopkeepers during the Yatra season but will also help the state exchequer to strengthen its economy.

However, the Uttarakhand’s authoritative spokesman and agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal have unambiguously rejected his former boss’s proposal saying that the lives n safety of the pilgrims can’t be put at risk during these critical Covid times by granting them permission even after their being innoculated twice with the vaccines. Kindly recall that currently the four religious destination journey have been put on halt by the state government after tremendously rise in Covid 19 cases in the state.

  1. Leaders of such stature should stop kidding and start behaving matured. Luckily, they were charged with such a big responsibilities. They have to devlope knack of handling situation. Who stops them from seeking advises from old, qualified and experienced citizens of state be that from any political leaning.
