Fmr Punjab Congress leader Jaiveer Shergill made national BJP spokesman, Capt Amrinder and Jakhar national executive Committee members n Madan Kaushik special invitee
While the Bharat Jodo Yatra of former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is gaining momentum, the party still seems to be in jeopardy as its leaders are joining BJP gradually. A recent setback to the party came when the Congress national spokes person and Punjab leader Jaiveer Shergill has joined the saffron party and has been rewarded as the national spokes person of BJP. Mr. Shergill had resigned from Congress in the month of August blaming the party entertaining Sycophants writing to the then interim president Sonia Gandhi mentioning that the primary reason of the resignation is the decision making in INC is no longer being done in wider interest of the workers and the party is influenced by the coterie that merely indulges in sycophancy and entertains sycophants. Kindly recall that the Congress heavyweight and former Punjab CM Captain Amrinder Singh and Sunil January, MLA n former Punjab chief had also resigned from Congress in September n there after n joined the BJP. Captain Amrinder Singh had first formed his own regional party and thereafter joined the BJP merging it with it. Meanwhile, according to new appointments a list if which has been declared today both captain Amrinder Singh and Sunil Jakhar including Swatantra Dev Singh from Punjab and UP were added in the list of national executive of BJP as national executive members, the highest decision making body of the saffron party. The former chief of Uttarakhand BJP Madan Kaushik, Punjab leaders Rana Garment Singh Sodhi, Mr. Manoranjan Kalia, Amanjot Kaur Raamuwalia and Chattisgarh leader Vishnu Dev have been appointed as special invitees n Jaiveer Singh Shergill as national spokesman.
