Flying Sikh nonagenarian Milkha Singh is responding well in Chandigarh hospital. Hoax about his death refuted by hospital Authority.

The hoax news about the death of Padmashree, four time Asian Gold medalist n Commonwealth champion representing twice in Olympics in Rome coming in 4 th position n in 1964 as well, field and track sprinter, 91 year old Milkha Singh have been refuted by the director of PGIMER, Chandigarh today by posting a vedio in social media saying that the news about his death is false and fake as the 91 year old popularly known as Flying Sikh Milkha Singh is responding well to the treatment better than yesterday, under the care and monitoring of three doctors after contracting Covid 19. Flying Sikh on whose life a biopic was made by Bollywood ” Bhag Milkha Bhag” becoming a blockbuster, Padmashree, nonactogenerian, Milkha Singh was earlier admitted in a Mohali hospital after contracting Covid. But after his health deteriorated further he was re admitted in Nehru Hospital Extention at post graduate Institute of Medical Institute of Medical Education where according to the doctors he is responding well. However, Milkha Singh’s wife is also suffering from Covid and is admitted in a Mohali hospital say news reports. It may be recalled that extremely popular first ever marathon runner of India having won four gold medals n Commonwealth championship including representing India in two Olympics in 1956 n 1964 having been decorated with Padmashri in 1959 six feet tall, former track and field sprinter, Sardar Milkha Singh is the only runner to have won the Gold in Asian games n Commonwealth in 400 metres. It may be recalled that flying Sikh Milkha Singh’s ace golfer son Jeev and daughter Mona flew to Chandigarh from Dubai and United states of America to be with their parents during this critical time.
