Five goats killed by a leopard in Dwarhat area of Uttarakhand

A leopard has today killed five goats sucking their entire blood at Jaminipaar village under Dwarhat Assembly constituency in Almora district of Kumaon division, Uttarakhand leaving behind the dead bodies of all the five goats.
The leopard must be very hungry as it has pierced the temporary roof of the pet animals shelter and killed all the five goats sucking their entire blood.
The family looking after the goats selling their milk for the family’s sustenance are in the state of utter shock as not only have they lost their adorable pets they have been feeding, they have also been made rid of their basic source of income.
In Uttarakhand maneater attacks are on the rise as the carnivores living in dense forests of Uttarakhand have been disturbed and therefore displaced due to increasing construction activities like widening of roads, and other projects including massive noise pollution compelling the animals n carnivores leaving the jungles who earlier were the food of the leopards and tigers.
In view of the absence of their food due to massive human migration like buffaloes, cows , goats , dogs etc which earlier used to be their prey the leopards and tigers are making human beings their easy prey.
However, where goats and domestic pets like cows and buffaloes are available these carnivores prefer animals but in the absence of them, they go for human kills.
