There are reports that an FIR has been registered in the Vasant Vihar police station at the state capital Dehradun.
This FIR has been registered after the renowned environmentalist and prestigious award recipient Padna Shri had submitted a written complaint against the so called VIP addressed to the Director General of Police, Dehradun earlier.
However, this news comes at a time when on Friday the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has after few days ago personally meeting the traumatised parents of late Ankita Bhandari had sought their views on the increasing CBI demand.
The parents who met the CM has submitted a letter asking for the CBI probe catagorically to punish the real VIP as written by the late Ankita Bhandari in her chat with her boy friend regarding the VIP asking for special extra services and in lieu of that offering her Rs. Ten thousand. She had accused the trio who are now undergoing the life imprisonment for sending her forcibly into prostituition which she outrightly refused.
Ankita Bhandari who was missing since 18 th September 2022 was found dead after few days with her dead body thrown in Chila canal, Rishikesh.
Though the three perpetrators had already been sentenced to life imprisonment after the additional sessions court judge Rena Negi’s judgement the culprits are approaching high Court for bail or lessen their sentence etc. it was about fifteen days before that the matter of a VIP resurfaced in social media when an actress Urmila Sanawar had revealed an audio of her conversation with her ex husband closely known to a BJP leader who has catagorically named two VIPs in Ankita Bhandari case , all hell broke out and there were spate of demonstrations, dharnas and effigy burnings etc demanding a CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari case under the monitoring of a Supreme Court or High Court judge etc.
Meanwhile the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal one of the important constituents of all the opposition parties that gave the call for Bandh in entire Uttarakhand has appealed to one and all to continue this bandh despite the announcement of the CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari case in order to provide moral support to the forces behind this crusade.
