Final adieu given to leader of the masses, 4 time CM of UP and former governor Kalyan Singh

A towering leader of backwards and down trodden sections of the society, former Uttar Pradesh CM n the founding leader of Bhartiya Janata Party Kalyan Singh Yadav has been given a final adieu at ” VIDHANSABHA BHAWAN” in Lucknow where top leaders of the Bhartiya Janata Party, chief ministers of various states and union ministers including the prime minister Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, BJP chief, UP chief minister Yogi Aadityanath n Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami etc paid floral tributes to the leader of the masses by laying garlands on his coffin draped in tricolour.

The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh during whose tenure, the Babri Masjid was demolished in 1991, Kalyan Singh died on Saturday at Sanjay Gandhi PG I hospital with his dead body placed at the residence of his grandson Sandeep Singh, minister in UP cabinet. Kalyan Singh died after prolonged illness being treated at PGI Lucknow for last several days.

Four times chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, governor and MP as well, Kalyan Singh was a prominent backward leader of national stature in Bhartiya Janata Party with his political career spanning more than five decades.

Several leaders across ideological lines came to pay their last tributes at Lucknow on Sunday.

The coffin of Kalyan Singh was taken from his grandson Sandeep Singh’s house to Assembly house ( Vidhansabha Bhawan) with hundreds of leaders, lawmakers, party supporters and general public accompanying their veteran leaders.

Leaders of Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party, Congress, Lok Dal etc also paid their floral tributes to this great leader of saffron party.

The prime minister Narendra Modi, union defence minister and former UP CM Rajnath Singh, governor of UP Anandi Ben Patel, UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP chief JP Nadda n scores of BJP leaders also laid floral wraths at his coffin draped in tri colour and paid their last respects.

The prime minister became emotional at the passing away of his old colleague and veteran leader saying that his entire life was devoted and dedicated for the upliftment of the backwards, dalits and those from the lower echelons of the society. He served the country in different capacities as MLA, MP, chief minister, governor n union minister. He is an inspiring figure who relentlessly work for the upliftment of the down troddens n all sections of the society said Prime minister Narendra Modi. The nation has lost an incredible mass leader of ethics and principles, the vacuum of whom would never be filled ever said prime minister. He added : I pray to Almighty to render peace to this pious soul and accord place at the pious feet of Lord Rama.
