FELICITATION OF former union minister and Congress leader SALMAN KHURSHID

Salman Khurshid, ex Minister of External Affairs and President of India Islamic Cultural Centre, was greeted by Dr. Kabir Siddiqui, (son of Janab Ali Siddiqui, founder: Priyadarshini Computer College, Pragati Maidan); Editor: Aalami T.V. and Aalami Urdu Foundation; Prof. Neelam Mahajan Singh, senior journalist, author, Doordarshan News personality, Solicitor for Human Rights Protection, honoured Salman Khurshid Saheb with ‘Tabarruk’ (تَبَرُّك) and ‘Faiz’ (فیض) of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. In a conversation with Dr. Kabir Siddiqui, Mohtaram Salman Khurshid said, “the dignity of highest level of constitutional posts must be respected and given the authority, as defined in the Constitution of India.” It may be stated that Salman Khurshid is grand son of former President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain and son of Janab Khurshid Alam Khan, former cabinet minister. During the recent parliamentary delegation of the Government of India to 25 countries, Salman Khurshid represented the Indian National Congress. Being an ex Minister of External Affairs, Salman Khurshid could present India’s zero tolerance policy on global terrorism. The gory massacre at Pahalgam by terrorists was highlighted by this multi-party delegation. This was to secure support for India, and not highlight domestic political differences, says Salman Khurshid. The Congress leader was in the delegation that visited Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia. Salman Khurshid took to social media to clarify that, “the multi-party delegations formed by the Centre, which are visiting different countries to explain India’s stance on ‘Operation Sindoor’ after the Pahalgam terror attack, was seeking to secure explicit support for the country and not highlight domestic political differences”. On the controversy pertaining to Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar’s sudden resignation, Salman Khurshid said that it is advisable that the highest constitutional offices of the President and Vice President of India are treated with respect by all political parties. He said that consensus by all political parties for the next Vice President is advisable, although, it turns into an elections, due to fielding different candidates by political parties.
