Eminent story writers of Uttarakhand felicitated with prestigious awards for standing first, second, third and fourth winners
with predetermined prizes of ₹31,000, ₹21,000, ₹11,000, and ₹5,000, respectively.






A grand event was jointly organised at the Youth Hostel Association of India by a socio cultural organisation Swaththan and Jodha Films on 15 th February, Saturday attended by theatre actors, artists, intellectuals, writers, journalists, social activists , producers, directors and filmmakers Uttarakhand – Garhwal and Kumaon including an incredible jury of eleven dignified persons hailing from art, films, writing , journalism, director etc. The eleven jury members were veteran journalists and authors D.D.Bajeli, Sahitya Academic Award recipient, Charu Tiwari, Sunil Negi, eminent litterateur and writer of several books Dr. Hari Suman Bisht, Dr. Jalandhari, Dr. P.S.Kedarkhandi, professor Harendra Aswal, Dr. Hema Uniyal a distinguished author, Dr. Asha Joshi, Khajan Dutt Sharma, and Ramesh Chand Joshi.
Organised by the Producer of Jodha Films and general secretary, Swauththan Sandeep Joshi and the first director of Garhwali movies and script writer Sushila Rawat with their dedicated team led by Mr. Dhar – the event was primarily organised to deliver awards to the winners of few outstanding Uttarakhand stories who were singled out, out of more than eleven hundred stories received by the organisers.
After meticulous and in-depth analysis the Jury arrived at a unanimous decision to award three personalities for their outstanding contribution as first , second third and fourth winners with predetermined prizes of ₹31,000, ₹21,000, ₹11,000, and ₹5,000, respectively.
On this occasion, the organization also honored all jury members with robes and gifts.
The program was opened by Shri Ganesh Singh Rautela, Vice President of Savutthan, who thanked the jury and all those involved in the program and explained the process of story selection.
Dr. Sharat Joshi introduced and felicitated the jury.
Mr. Sanjay Joshi, General Secretary, Sawuthan, finalized the award ceremony by bestowing special honors upon Mr. Hem Pant, Dr. Kaleshwari, Sushila Rawat, and Sandeep Bajeli. Mr. Khema Nand Pandey’s Kumaoni story, “Raki Muki Dwi Bod,” won the first prize. Girdhari Singh Rawat’s Garhwali story, “Raki Muki Dwi Bod,” won the second prize, and Gargi Joshi won the third prize for her Hindi story, “Eija.” Kiran Rawat’s English story An Enlightening Dreams, Lalita Chauhan Jaunsari story Aagoshi Mai, Vishweshwar Prasad Gadwali story Fanchi, Sushila Devi Gadwali won the award for her story Andhiyari Raat Ma Kamala and Deepali Khati’s Hindi story Thanda Cheela.
Present in the auditorium were Madan Mohan Sati, Dr. Pushpa Joshi, CM Papne, Rajendra Singh Chauhan, eminent director, actor Laxmi Rawat, Rakesh Gaur, Kushal Singh Bisht, Kushal Singh Rawat, Mr. Sudhir Dhar, Mrs. Neeta Joshi, Mrs. Anita Dhar, Mukund Dhar, Ajay Singh Bisht, Mr. Prem Singh Rawat, TC Joshi, Hansa Dant Lohani, Mr. Kuldeep Aswal, Rahul Badhola, Kiran Rampal, Mr. Chandan Dangi, Mrs. Roshni Chamoli, Anju Purohit and Ramesh Pradeshi who also boosted the enthusiasm of the artists and distributed certificates of excellence to various writers and artists on this ocassion.
