Dredging Corporation of India Limited Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Enthusiasm in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam, 26th January 2025 — Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) proudly celebrated its 76th Republic Day at its Corporate Office, marked by fervor and camaraderie among employees and their families. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Shri Durgesh Kumar Dubey, IRTS, Managing Director & CEO of DCIL.
In his address, Shri Dubey emphasized the significance of Republic Day, highlighting the duties and rights of every Indian citizen. He underscored DCIL’s vital role in bolstering maritime trade and contributing to the nation’s economic growth, with an impressive order book of projects.
Shri Dubey also spoke about the strategic importance of DCIL within the port sector, expressing optimism for future growth with the introduction of the indigenously built 12,000 Hopper Capacity Beagle Series dredger, named Godavari. This initiative aligns with the Atma Nirbhar Bharat and Make In India campaign of the Hon’blePrime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi ji.This will enhance DCIL’s operational capabilities in the coming years.
Recognizing the invaluable leadership of Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairman of DCIL, Shri Dubey extended his gratitude for his efforts in securing support from various ports and stakeholders, which has greatly benefited the organization’s growth. He emphasized the importance of timely project completion, stating that it is crucial for building client confidence and trust. To ensure sustained growth, he encouraged all employees to contribute their best efforts towards achieving the company’s objectives.
On this occasion, Shri Dubey honored outstanding employees with Best Employee awards for their significant contributions. He also felicitated the winners and runners-up of the sports and games held as part of the celebration.
