DR.HARAK SINGH STRONGLY CRITICIZES FINANCE MINISTER OF UTTARAKHAND FOF THRASHING A COMMON MAN !
The way Finance Minister of Uttarakhand Prem Chand Aggrawal had the other day thrashed a person of Rishikesh namely Surendra Singh NEGI along with his security guards and PRO with its video going viral in social media making the ruling BJP a laughing stock in Uttarakhand inviting tremendous criticism, the issue still seems to have not subsided and leaders of opposition party especially Congress are criticizing the finance minister for this obnoxious actact and the BJP high command not taking the erring minister to task.
The former minister in BJP government, now in Congress Dr. Harak Singh Rawat yesterday strongly condemned the action of the BJP minister saying that this was a shameful act as we have law enforcing agencies and police to deal with troublemakers but have no right to thrash or physically harm anyone even if he is at fault, especially when you are holding such a responsible position of a cabinet minister said Dr. Harak Singh Rawat while speaking media.
Dr. Rawat who had resigned from BJP and joined Congress a year ago was highly critical of the Finance Minister hitting a person repeatedly with his body guards and a PRO in the open with traffic jam all over – saying that this is an utterly a shameful act as he has in his entire political career never did so even when faced by still opposition or resistance from the angry public.
Dr. Rawat said that in public life facing anger, criticism and confrontation from public is a common feature and we should never get provoked and hit them.
This does not behove for a man holding a stature of a minister. We have no moral right to inflict our anger and frustration on poor people or common man but should rather tolerate such situations being political leaders and public representatives not goondaas.
It may be recalled that Prem Chand Agrawal has been the minister for the first time and was speaker earlier but was in controversy then as well. His name had appeared in giving arbitrary appointments from back doors in Uttarakhand Assembly secretariat to his close relatives and several others. There were even charges of allegedly corruption in these appointments.
Few days ago cabinet minister Aggrawal had thrashed a man from his constituency Rishikesh during a traffic jam alongwith his security guards and a PRO, the video of which had gone viral in social media bringing bad name to the party.
The Uttarakhand police has registered two FIRs against both the parties including the minister, his body guards and the PRO.
The entire incident was grabbed by a You Tuber in a video and the same went excessively viral.
The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had to intervene, summon the minister and had to direct the DGP Ashok Kumar to conduct an impartial and transparent probe into the matter to punish the guilty without any prejudices.
