The newly nominated chief of the Uttarakhand campaign committee Dr. Harak Singh Rawat is extremely vociferous these days especially after being accorded a new responsibility by the Congress high command.

Yesterday at Dehradun there was an impressive conglomeration of the Congress leaders of Uttarakhand to welcome the new president Ganesh Godiyal, the chairman of Uttarakhand campaign committee Dr. Harak Singh Rawat and the management committee chief Pritam Singh including the newly nominated outgoing president of Uttarakhand Congress Karan Mahara in the presence of the veteran leader Harish Rawat, Yashpal Arya, Surya Kant Dhasmana, Bhuvan Kapri and several others.

Hundreds of enthusiastic Congress workers and local leaders welcomed the newly appointed leaders with all the leaders accusing the ruling political dispensation of Uttarakhand led by Pushkar Singh Dhami of alleged inefficiency, corruption and taking the state towards backwardness instead of progress.

The former cabinet minister and new campaign committee chairman of Uttarakhand vociferous Dr. Harak Singh Rawat came down heavily on the lawmakers of Uttarakhand saying that unfortunately all the respected MLAs out of a budget of a lakh for any progressive work from their funds etc siphon off rest of twenty five thousand rupees and by bureaucrats rest of the twenty five thousand.

This is why the substandard materials used in the construction of roads etc get completely wiped out during the first monsoon season.

He said similarly in other works of development in the hills a major part of the funds allocated goes in the pockets of the lawmakers and the engineers, bureaucrats and thekedars and the people suffer, ultimately with roads being washed away during monsoons.

This is a serious charge levelled by Dr. Rawat to the media after first deputy leader of opposition in the assembly Bhuvan Kapri saying the same words of accusations few days ago shocking one and all.

Speaking to media Dr. Harak Singh Rawat thanked the Congress high command for giving his the new responsibility assuring to work hard and come true to their expectations by routing out the BJP and bringing Congress to power in the state in 2027 assembly elections including winning all the five Lok Sabha seats.

He said, the way Sonia Gandhi had reposed faith in him in 2007 and the Congress party trounced back to power similarly this time too he will ensure that the Congress party comes back back to power during 2027 and the general elections. He said that the people of Uttarakhand has been fed up with the present government and wants a change it, come what may.

Dr. Harak Singh Rawat also made it absolutely clear that those who talk about Paharies and non Paharies are misguiding the people of the state. If we want to progress overwhelmingly we will have to go together irrespective of any community, caste and religion. Whosoever is living in Uttarakhand from Dharchula to Mangalore , in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar of whichever community, we all are Uttarakhandies. And unless we all unite together the state couldn’t progress said Dr. Rawat emphatically.
