Dr. Harak Singh Rawat demands probe into the CM discretionary fund for favourable and arbitrary distribution of funds to the people of the CMs constituency majorly

The chairman of the Uttarakhand Election Management Committee and the former cabinet minister in BJP and earlier CONGRESS governments have accused the central government for misguiding the people of the country on the shortage of LPG beffoling them that there is no shortage of gas in the country.
Levelling charges of misleading the consumers Dr. Rawat said while the area has been completely incorporated into the wards of the Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, and Nagar Panchayat, their consumers also live entirely in urban areas, yet they have been placed in the rural category and forced to book after 45 days. This is a dual and impractical policy of the government, due to which common consumers are facing huge problems.
Dr. Rawat demanded that the rural gas agencies located in urban areas should immediately implement a 25-day booking system, providing them with facilities equal to the urban sector, so that the public can get relief.
Accusing the state administration of laxity and negligent taking bi action against the borders and blackmarketers Dr. Rawat said that due to the gas crisis, cases of black marketing and hoarding of cylinders have also started coming to light, but the government and administration are limited to mere rhetoric.
During the press conference Dr. Rawat also raised the serious issue of misuse of the chief minister’s Discretionary releif Fund.
Presenting documents obtained under the Right to Information Act, he stated that data from Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat districts alone are sufficient to see how this fund is being distributed.
Information was sought from Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat districts under the Right to Information Act regarding which beneficiaries received the chief minister Discretionary Fund said Dr. Rawat adding further that firstly, there was delay in providing information and then incomplete information was provided but the information that was received is very shocking and a long list.
Udham Singh Nagar district and Champavat district associated with Mukhyamanyriji, he has been MLA from Khatima earlier and is currently MLA from Champavat, and in both the districts, officials associated with BJP and their families are being given benefits from the discretionary fund of the CM , which is misuse of public money said Dr. Rawat. He said the following are the major beneficiaries of the chief minister relief fund hailing from Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat : Subodh Majumdar, Bharat Singh, Godavari, Kanta Rani, Bharat Banga, Kamil Khan, Gajendra Singh Bishh, Puran Singh, Santosh Kumar Aggarwal and Mukesh Sharma, Shanta Badola, Rajendra Prasad etc. have been given assistance of Rs. 05 lakhs and Hayat Singh Mehra who is associated with BJP Cooperative has been given assistance of Rs. 04 lakhs. And similarly beneficiaries like Tara Devi, Jasvir Chaudhary, Nikita Khadayat, Kusum Devi, Hem Lata were also given huge amounts like 04 lakhs, 03 lakhs, 02 lakhs. In Champavat a person without a name was given financial assistance of Rs. 3 lakh in 2023-24, and in one place in Champavat, a person with a different name was given Rs. 2 lakh. These are just examples and the entire list is shocking said Dr. Rawat. He catagorically said that if the data from all the districts of the entire state were revealed, it could prove to be the biggest corruption in the history of Uttarakhand.
He demanded that an impartial and transparent investigation be conducted into the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund so that the truth could be revealed to the public.
Another Cjngress leader Garima Mahara Dasauni, former Metropolitan Commissioner Lalchand Shami, State leader Sheeshpal Singh Bisht, senior leader Vinod Chauhan, and Dinesh Kaushal of AMPA were present in the PC.
