Directed, scripted and designed by Dr Suwarn Rawat, ‘Reds & Blues’ in Doon Valley enthrals the audience
‘Reds & Blues’ based on Devid Holman’s English play ‘Peacemaker’ was presented continuously for 5 days eve from 10 Oct. to 14 Oct. 2021, by a reputed theatre group Kala Darpan in collaboration with Aina in Dehradun auditorium, enthralling and impressing the audience in large numbers.

Scripted, designed & directed by an eminent theatre personally, a product of prestigious National School of Drama Dr. Suwarn Rawat ” Reds And Blues”, primarily is in bilingual ‘Hindi-English’ dialects but Dr. Rawat says that they are planning it in multi-lingual ie. Hindi, English & Nepali in the near future.

Based on David Holman’s popular English play ‘Peacemaker.’, scripted, designed and directed by eminent theatre icon Dr Suwarn Rawat during past times past, the Blue and the Red people lived in harmony, joined by a bridge shuttling from one land to another.
According to it’s director Dr Rawat one day a fight broke out between the two lands and the bridge was replaced by a wall in suspicion and mistrust of each other.

In this interesting play
character Bholi was well delineated by Aarti Shahi. Other characters like Guard, Neelu, Lali were justified by Abhinav Goyal, Surjit Das/Aadeep Sharma, Prerna Bhalla respectively. The backstage team made the play more effective viz. T.K. Agarwal-Lights, Ramlal Bhatt-Puppetry, Choreography-Surjit Das, Music- Kritika Bhari, Costumes-Dinesh Tripathi & Makeup-Pariniti Arora.

It is in bilingual- ‘Hindi & English.’ After the successful enactment and acknowledging tremendous laurels during it’s five day shows in Doon valley, soon other casts viz. Dr. Suwarn Rawat & Dr. Vishal Shah will be on stage for its multilingual- ‘Hindi, English & Nepali’ version to the audience.

The Play is extremely relevant in the present scenario where Red & Blue colours symbolically reflect & unfold many layers narrated Dr. Swarn Rawat.
After the successful launch of Red and Blues the interactive session ” Entire Team Meet”, was quite interesting that acquainted the curious participants of various post production aspects of the play. Eminent personalities viz. Avinanda, Neera Nanda, Naresh Bohra, Gajendra Verma, Jagriti Dobhal, Aalok Ulfat, Shailja Sharma, Sunil Kainthola, Madan Duklan, Pradeep Sharma, Atul Vishnoi, Padam Singh Rajput, Badrish Chawada, Dr. Jharna Banarji, Nikhil Sharma, Dinesh Bhatt, Uttara Pant Bahuguna and many more from the theatre fraternity actively participated in this question answer interactive session.
