A deputy director with the ministry of Finance Navjyot Singh had died in an accident. According to the news reports this tragic accident occured when deputy director Nvjyot Singh was returning back home after paying obeisance at Gurudwara BANGLA SAHIB near Gol post office with his wife. The accident occured when they were passing via Dhaula Kuan near pillar number 57 towards Raja Garden. The Dhaula Kuan police immediately reached the accident spot and after identifying the deceased inform their relatives who reached there in no time. Eyewitnesses said that Navjot Singh’s car was hit by a speeding BMW. The collision was so severe that the car was badly damaged. Navjot Singh’s condition became critical in the accident after which he was immediately taken to the hospital.
However, doctors declared Navjyot dead on reaching the hospital. His wife’s condition remains critical and she is being treated.
On Monday, the woman allegedly driving the BMW, Gaganpreet Makkar, was arrested from the hospital in GTB Nagar by the Delhi Police. She was undergoing treatment there. Her BMW rammed into the car of deceased Navjyot killing him instantly and wife grievously injured.
