Delhi witnesses 7437 cases of Covid 19 with 24 fatalities
There is tremendous spike in Covid 19 cases all over India with the one day national tally reaching 1.26 lakh cases and total fatalities till date crossing 1 lakh 66 thousand numbers.
The national capital territory of Delhi recorded 7437 cases during the last twenty four hours with twenty four Covid 19 related fatalities.
The one day positivity rate has been recorded at 8.10% with 3687 recoveries. The government has increased the testing. There had been total 91770 testings during the last 24 hours.
According to the Delhi state health bulletin about 4212 beds have been occupied by Covid 19 patients out of total 8813 leaving 4601 beds vacant in Delhi government hospitals.
There are total 5525 beds in dedicated Covid care centres out of which only hundred beds are occupied with 5417 beds remaining vacant.
In addition to these hospitals n care centres there are 82 beds in dedicated Covid Health centre out of which 65 beds have been occupied leaving 17 beds vacant.
Cumulatively there had been 698005 cases in the national capital territory since March last year. About 633667 patients have recovered/ discharged or migrated to other states after recovery leaving merely 24 thousand cases as active patients of Covid, currently.
At present there have been 4226 containment zones in Delhi with vaccination in progress. However, the Delhi AAP government has raised objections over the shortage of vaccines in several centres of the capital with AAP leaders and workers protesting outside the Lt governor Anil Baijal’s house yesterday.
