Delhi football team beat Haryana 4-0; while Punjab thrashed Uttrakhand 11-00 in the 75 Senior National football championship-2021 played at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi here today.

Delhi were leading 3-0 at the interval and added one more in the second half. Jaideep scored first goal, the fastest in the championship, in 38 seconds, followed by Dhruv Sharma and again by Jaideep converting the spot kick awarded when Dhruv Sharma was fouled by Haryana defender inside the 18 yards area.

Captain Gaurav Chadha finished the tally in th 85th minute scoring from an acute angle.

Delhi n Punjab have thus earned six points each but Delhi have better goal difference and are at first position.

They will be clashing for top position on 5/12/21 at 3.00 p.m. Only top team from the group will qualify for the final round.

Meanwhile, in another Santosh Trophy match of Group B, Kerala defeated Andoman Nicobar 9-0 in South Zone.

T.K Jesun and Nizo Gilbert scored two goals each, while Vibin Thomas, Arun Jayaraj, K. Salman, PN Naufal and Mohammed Safnad scored one goal each thus Kerala topping the score board. Kerala had defeated Lakshadweep with 5-0 say the news report of Matrabhumi. The next match is with Pondicherry.
