Delhi Jal Board requests to make judicious use of water for few days after Yamuna Water level went extremely high affecting several Water works in Delhi
The Delhi government has urged the people of several localities of Delhi to make judicious use of water during few days in view of the water level of Yamuna going extremely high. In a press release issued by Delhi Jal Board appealing the Delhi citizens to make judicious use of water it has been said that due to the extreme high level of Yamuna water, Wazirabad Raw Water Pump Houses, 120 MCD VT Pump House at Wazirabad which supplies water to Chandrawal Water Works and Okhla Raw Water Pump House supplying water to Okhla Water works have been submerged into water due to which water production from Wazirabad Water Works, Chandrawal Water Works, Okhla Water Works will remain affected till situation Improves. According to Delhi Jal Board release the areas likely to be affected are Civil Lines, Hindu Rao Hospital and adjoining areas, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar and adjoining areas Karil Nagh, Paharganj and NDMC areas, Old & New Rajinder Nagar, Patel Nagar ( East and West) Ballet Nagar, Prem Nagar, Under purity, and adjoining areas, Kalkaji, Govindpuri, Tuglakabad, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, Prahaladpur, and adjoining area, Ramleela Ground, Delhi Gate, Subhash Park, Model Town, Gulabi Bagh, Punjabi Bagh, Janakpuri, Moolchand, South Extension, Greater Kailash, adjoining areas, parts of Cantonment areas and South Delhi n others on command of Wazirabad Water Works, Chandrawal Works, Okhla Water Works WTPs.
