DELHI CM ARVIND KEJRIVAL GIVEN BAIL. WILL BE RELEASED TOMORROW

The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal incarcerated in Tihar Prisons since March 21 in the now abolished New Liquor Policy Scam has been granted bail by the Delhi Sessions Court, Rouse Avenue .

He will now be released from Tihar Prisons tomorrow evening as after being granted bail today at 8.00 PM the bail Discharge papers have to reach the Tihar Prison authorities today or tomorrow.

The bail was granted by the special judge Nyay Bindu directing the Delhi CM to furnish a personal bond of Rs one lakh. The case of Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival was strongly argued by his counsel in the court on the ground that there is not a single concrete evidence against his client till date and that the entire case is based on the statement of the culprit who is himself involved in the case and has turned approver.

While hearing the arguments of the Enforcement Directorate’s counsel Zoheb Hussain that court should grant ED enough time to produce its legal aspects in front of the court, the special judge outrightly rejected the ED counsel’s plea and granted bail immediately asking the Delhi CM’s counsel to submit the bond of Rs one lakh tomorrow’s in front of the judge hearing the case.

The special judge Nyaya Bindu directed the counsel to furnish the bail bond tomorrow in front of the concerned judge. After strong arguments in the court today afternoon with Enforcement Directorate not able to submit any concrete evidence and saying that may be he has not committed any crime but helping those who did the wrongs amount to being the important part of it.

The Kejrival’s counsel strongly said that the case is purely based on the statements of the approver who himself is the culprit whereas there is no material evidence in the case holding his client guilty of the accusations.

It may be recalled that after being in jail for fifty days, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Delhi CM on May 11 enabling him to campaign for his party candidates. The Delhi CM surrendered before Tihar prison on 2 nd August as directed by the Supreme Court while giving him the interim bail on May 11.
