Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival asks : What was the need to implement CAA during elections ? There is already unemployment and inflation in the country !
The national convenor of Aam Admi Party and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival has strongly opposed the implementation of CCA and demanded its immediate revocation. In a video posted on social media platform X the day morning , Arvind Kejrival said that the countrymen are suffering from skyrocketing inflation and unemployment becoming extremely difficult for families to run them. Instead of arranging for the employment of our youths and lowering the inflation by implementing the CAA the BJP led NDA government has opened the doors for those who had entered in our country before 2014 from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. From where will we provide housing for them, give them employment he asked.
He said this is just a start and after some time the process of giving citizenship to the refugees from Pakistan and other countries will commence as usually happens. He asked what reply would we give to the existing youths who are already unemployed and longing for jobs and people reeling under inflation.
Kejrival said that the worst to be affected by this decision of the BJP led NDA government would be Assam where millions of refugees are already living having migrated from Bangladesh etc . Their demography is already under threat he said.
After the CAA implementation they will be given citizenship and the existing citizens will suffer asking where will they bring jobs for them is a moot question especially when our existing youths are already suffering from unemployment and skyrocketing inflation.
He blamed the chief mister of Assam Hemanta Biswas for misguiding and betraying the people of the state and destroying the demography of the state.
Coming down heavily on the ruling party Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival said that instead of doing constructive works like arranging for the employment and bringing down the escalating prices of essential commodities , right before the elections it is implementing the CAA to derive maximum political mileage during the elections.
He categorically asked who will provide employment and housing to these refugees. Why is this being done ? Some people reveal that this has been implemented at the nick of the time during elections because they want to derive maximum political mileage out of this said Delhi CM.
Kejrival while coming down heavily on the government after the Home ministry on Tuesday launched the on line portal on the law of CAA said that it was implemented just before the elections with ulterior motive encashing the general elections rather than focussing on accomplishments during the previous years after it came to power in 2014.
He asked : Had they done any constructive works during their ten years rule ? Rather than asking votes for accomplishments they are implementing contentious issues like CAA ( Citizens Amendment Act) just at the nick of the time of elections though passed by both the houses of parliament and consented by President of India in December 2019.
It may be recalled that under this new CAA law all those non muslims from Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Hindu communities who had come to India before 2014, December due to persecution or victimisation in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh would be granted citizenship in India but the Muslims living here would not be harassed or victimized by this law said the union home minister Amit Shah.
