DELHI AIIMS’ BRANCH TO BE OPENED AT HALDWANI SAYS UNION MINISTER AJAY BHATT
The union minister of state for defence and tourism Ajay Bhatt has said to his electorates that in view of the difficulties being confronted by the people of Kumaon region especially patients suffering from critical illnesses in terms of treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh or Delhi which are quite far and almost equidistant from Kumaon, opening of a branch of Delhi AIIMS is utmostly essential at Haldwani. The minister and Lok Sabha, MP from Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Ajay Bhatt has assured that a land had been identified at the HMT precincts at Ranibagh Kathgodaam, Haldwani and he has already spoken to the Director AIIMS and send the necessary written requests to him as well as to the Uttarakhand CM also deliberating with him seeking affirmative response with regard to establishing a branch of All India Institute of Medical Sciences at HMT precincts in Haldwani. He hoped that after the construction of AIIMS at Ranibagh, GMT precincts,Haldwani , the suffering people of the border areas of India, China and Nepal especially patients with critical illnesses would be receiving medical treatment here instead of going to distant hospitals at Rishikesh, Dehradun or Delhi. Regarding the availability of land at Kathgodaam, Haldwani the minister has revealed that there is some hiccup in allotment of land here but the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given formal consent for land at Ranibagh area. Hence there won’t be any problem in getting the land of HMT at Rani bagh, allotted at the earliest in Haldwani. The minister Ajay Bhatt was in Kathgodham yesterday where he met several party workers and heard their grievances directing the officers over phone to resolve various issues of the area and people’s grievances. It may be recalled that in Kicha there is already a satellite AIIMS centre . The former MP from Congress Pradeep Tamta has ridiculed it saying that it is nothing but a children’s toys to misguide and fool the electorates of the area.
