Delhi a revenue surplus NCT despite so much concessions. Delhi per capita increased by 22% says the Economy Survey Report

The Delhi government that gives free drinking water up to 20000 litres per month and free electricity up to two hundred units consumption every month including free medicines in government hospitals, quality education to poor students in government schools upgrading their status including cheaper or free treatment to poor catagory patients in private hospitals is still ahead in Delhi’s per capita income which has increased by 22 percent during the last two years to 4. 61 lakh in 2023-24 including projecting a 9.17 percent economic growth for the current financial year. The finance minister of Delhi government Atishee has today revealed that despite several bottlenecks and obstacles created by the LG, centre and the senior officers, the Kejrival government has progressed economically in terms of record growth and by leaps and bounds. Tabling the Delhi’s economic survey report in the Assembly, speaking extempore enthusiastic Finance minister of Delhi Atishee said that it’s worth mentioning that the Delhi’s contribution in National GDP is 4% which has just 1.5 % population share of the national population. This is remarkable an achievement. Highlighting the inflation at the national level to be 5.65 % Atishee said that in Delhi this was merely 2. 81% in January December whereas if we talk of unemployment this has considerably come down in the national capital from 6.3% in the aftermath of Covid in 2020- 2021 to 1.9% in 2022, 23 voting the economic survey statistics. Criticizing the union Government for skyrocketing inflation Delhi Finance minister Aatishee Bharadwaj said that the inflation in our country is second after Turkey in the world which is immensely worrisome. Lauding the lowest rate of inflation in the country patting the back of her own government Atishee said that during the past ten years, the inflation has been tremendous increased by 70 percent. Wearing a pink coloured Saree , Delhi Finance minister Aatishee lauded Delhi government saying that the Gross Domestic Product ( GSDP) of Delhi is likely to reach to Rs.11,07, 746 crores in 2023-24 registering the growth rate of 9.17 percent. In 2022-23 this was 10,14,000 crores adding that during Covid times in 2021-22 in grew by 8.76% and 7.85 % in 2023-24, ahead and faster that rest of the country. Throwing light on the per capita income of Delhi Atishee said in jubilation that it has increased to 4,61, 910 in 2023- 24 enhanced by 22% in the last two years. In 2021-22 Delhi per capita income was Rs. 3,76, 217. The budget of Delhi government for the year 2024-25 will be tabled in Delhi Assembly on March 4. The ongoing budget session was extended till March 8 th which commenced on February 15 th. Delhi is a financially surplus NCT and is the third state in the country after Sikkim and Goa.
