DEHRADUN BANDH ON 20 TH JUNE AGAINST THE MURDER OF RAVI BADOLA & INJURING TWO OTHERS. WANT CASE TO PROCEEDED ON FAST TRACK

The Uttarakhand state’s capital Dehradun seems to have allegedly become a safe haven for hardened criminals as incidents of brutal crimes are on the increase.

Recently two back to back incidents within a gap of month of so have taken place creating quite a furore, panic and sensitisation among the citizens of Dehradun with newspapers, electronic news channels and social media publishing these incidents with paramount concern, majorly going viral.

The first incident related to a builder Mr. Sahani committing suicide by jumping from a multistorey building leaving behind a suicide note blaming the Gupta Brothers for compelling him to take this drastic step, who were in African government’s radar having sought comfortable refuge in Uttarakhand now behind bars.

The notorious Gupta Brothers had during the tenure of the saffron party government led by the then CM Trivendra Singh Rawat had organised a ostentatious wedding worth Rs 200 crores snatching the lime light of the news media channels , social and print media. Both these Gupta Brothers are on a run from South Africa where they are on a wanted list.

The second dreaded incident relates to a brutal murder of a young man namely Ravi Badola and two of his friends ( accomplices) in the near ght hours, who had accompanied him to get his car back which he had given to a person namely Bharadwaj.

Some say that the dispute related to a money matters of interest payments etc.

As soon as he ( Ravi Badola) reached the place of the latter he was shot at from a close range finally breathing his last in a drain where he died succumbed to the severe bullet injuries. The two other friends of deceased Ravi Badola who were shot at, have been able to reach the police who admitted them to coronation hospital at Dehradun.

It is believed that the culprit now behind the bar caught alongwith four other accomplices for murdering Ravi Badola and his two friends few days ago is a history sheeter of Saharanpur , UP and was released in bail / parole in some other case, from jail.

There are reportedly several cases registered against him. This open shooting at Dobhal Chowk at Raipur Dehradun during night hours, brutally killing one person and injuring two has created quite a panic in entire locality and surrounding areas, rather in entire Dehradun where live 70 MLAs, former governors, chief minister, ministers, top bureaucrats, assembly speaker and former chief ministers. Sounds shocking that hardened criminals from other states are finding Dehradun as one of the safest havens to not only safeguard themselves but also to continue their criminal activities unreluctantly from here disturbing and destroying the otherwise peaceful environment, the state considered to be be the abode of Gods.

Though the Uttarakhand police have shown exemplary courage and efficiency in nabbing the main culprit from another state, probably Rajasthan including also nabbing four other accomplices, but the terror of these unwanted criminal elements staying in Uttarakhand without any screening considering it a safe haven is a matter of real worry.

Meanwhile, the Bhu Kanoon Samittee and Mool Niwas samanwaya Sangharsh Samittee has given a call for entire DEHRADUN BANDH on 20 th June, 2024 against the terror being created by the goons and criminals in Uttarakhand. The DEHRADUN band has been called on three major demands viz.The case of Ravi Badola brutal murder should be proceeded expeditiously on a fast track court to punish the guilty at the earliest. Second – There should be screening and identification of those from different communities coming to Dehradun .

The information regarding the background of hardened criminals should be exposed to the public and finally there should be indepth probe into the collaboration / unholy nexus of political leaders with the criminals elements in Dehradun n Uttarakhand.

Several decades ago there were gang wars between Nikku Gang and Bhartu Gang in Dehradun followed by the influence of Manmohan Singh Negi , the liquor mafia who killed the Amar Ujala journalist at Pauri Sun And Snow Hotel during eighties. The entire media fraternity of centre and Uttarakhand then an undivided state were up in arms finally leading to the government giving the case to CBI. There was a great sign of relief after these gangs abolishing and the police becoming stringent against them. But unfortunately the revival of gang war type situation at Dehradun have really disturbed the otherwise peaceful environment of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand.
