Yet another sad news is coming in from Uttarakhand ‘s capital Dehradun about the dead body found in a car of a girl who was believed to be a student of Opthalmic science pursuing her MS namely Tanvi originally belonging to Ambala City , Haryana.
There is panic around as the dead body of a merely 23 year old girl in a car raised several questions of mystery death.
The dead body of Tanvi ,a medical student pursuing her MS from a leading Opthalmic college of Patel Nagar, Dehradun was found in a car stationed on roadside in a mysterious condition.
According to the Dehradun police the family members had broken the car window panes and taken her dead body to the hospital in the hope of reviving her but of no avail.
The student’s father has leveled serious allegations against the departmental head doctor, including mental, educational, and financial harassment, and forcing her to commit suicide.
Based on the student’s father’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the department doctor at the Patel Nagar police station and are investigating the case further.
The father of the deceased Tanvi studying MS in Ophthalmology, Lalit Mohan, a resident of Model Town, Ambala City, Haryana, filed a complaint at the Patel Nagar police station in which he stated that his 23-year-old daughter, Tanvi, had been studying MS in Ophthalmology at a renowned medical college in Patel Nagar since September 2023. She lived with her mother in Dehra Khas. The father alleges that her department was previously headed by someone else, but a female doctor was appointed head in December 2025. Following the change in departmental leadership, his daughter was subjected to constant pressure and mental harassment.
According to the traumatised father of late Tanvi in the beginning good marks were given in the logbook, but later, it is alleged, the departmental head deliberately threatened to fail her by giving her low marks. For the past four months, the student had been under constant stress.
She had repeatedly reported the department’s behavior and pressure to her family. Following this, her father met with the department head several times, requesting not to affect her daughter’s future, but the situation remained unchanged.
The situation of law and order in Dehradun seems to have gone beyond control of the police as comparatively the crime rate is on the surge and the situation instead of improving is becoming more and more cumbersome and worrisome with criminals having no terror of law.
