Date of Kedarnath By poll , Jharkhand and Maharashtra declared. Voting on 20 November
The date of election to the Kedarnath by poll have been announced today by the election commission. According to the EC the by poll date has been fixed for November 20 th whereas the counting results will be revealed in 23 rd November. The Kedarnath seat became vacant due to the untimely demise of the sitting lawmaker from this assembly constituency from Bhartiya Janata party Shaila Rani Rawat. Till date no political party viz BJP, Congress etc have declared the names of their prospective candidates from this seat.
Similarly casting of votes for the assembly elections in Maharashtra will take place on November 20 and results will be declared on November 23, the Election Commission of India announced on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the voting for the Jharkhand Assembly Elections will take place in two phases – on November 13 and November 20. However, the results will be declared on November 23.
Addressing the press conference on Tuesday, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said India is setting gold standards in every election.
Meanwhile, the Congress party has declared the candidature of Priyanka Gandhi from Wayanad by poll, the parliamentary constituency earlier held by Rahul Gandhi who had left it after winning from Rae Bareilly parliamentary constituency.
