CWC STANDS IN UNANIMITY AND PASSES A RESOLUTION FOR CASTE CENSUS IN THE COUNTRY

While the Election Commission of India has today announced the dates of the elections in the five states, the highest decision making body of the Congress CWC took a unanimous decision with not a single leader opposing it to execute the caste census in entire country thus putting a pressure on the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party government ruling at the centre and several states.

The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi while addressing a press conference revealed that the unanimous decision taken at the CWC meeting today is also binding on all the Congress ruled CM who had already agreed to carry out the caste census in their respective state.

Rahul Gandhi catagorically said while replying to the questions of mediamen at AICC headquarters that majority of the partners in the I. N. D. I. A. Block will agree to the Congress CWC’s unanimous decision of the caste census while there may be few who may not agree. Rahul Gandhi said that INDIA does not take decisions on fascists ‘ manner where everyone has the right to have differences.

He said that the national census is utmostly essential for improving the lot of countrymen, the poor, down trodden, needy and the have nots.

After the caste census there will be economic survey and the nation will know as to how many people n castes are from poor strata and how many ultra rich having the share of majority of the poor n hapless emphasised Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul said that the CWC therefore took this very important unanimous decision for the emancipation of the poor in the country.

The Congress launched an all out attack on the BJP ruled NDA government and prime minister on Caste census, which Bihar has already executed and rest of the Congress state doing it.

Rahul Gandhi said that out of ten BJP chief Ministers, only one is from OBC . He asked how many BJP CMs are from OBC category . The prime minister doesn’t work for the OBCs but just to distract them diverts attention of the people on other issues said Rahul Gandhi.

It may be recalled that Bihar government which is an important part of I. N. D. I. A is the first state to release its caste census survey report according to which the Extremely Other backward classes comprise of 36.1 % of the population, backward classes 27.12% , and general category merely 15.52% of the state’s population. In addition to Bihar, the Congress ruled Rajasthan state government has also issued directives for the caste census with other states like Chattisgarh, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh to follow. In one of his tweets on X, Rajasthan CM wrote : A new chapter in social justice. The Union Government which is against the the deprived, has been running away from caste census in the country resulting in social justice confronting obstacles. In view of this the government of Rajasthan has decided to conduct a caste survey through its resources to ensure benefits to the people if Rajasthan tweeted Gehlot. Gehlot said that on the basis of the survey report of the caste census we will carry out the the development works and formulate schemes n policies for the benefit of the poor sections of the society.
