Culprits arrested by Doon police for firing and grievously injuring an Uttarkashi youth
On October 19, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., information was received via Dial 112 that a shooting had occurred in front of Doon Hospital. Upon receiving the information, the Kotwali Nagar police force immediately arrived at the scene.
Upon receiving the information, the Kotwali Nagar police force immediately arrived at the scene. Dishant Rana, son of Naunihal Singh Rana, a resident of Purola, Uttarkashi, was found injured and admitted to Doon Hospital.
The injured’s friend Ayushman Kaushik, son of Navneet Kaushik, resident of Raipur, Dehradun, told during interrogation that he had a dispute with Kavyansh Dhama, Rohan Arya and Vishal Tomar at the canteen located on Canal Road.
Due to the dispute and the enmity, two other unidentified persons from Kavyansh Dhama’s side reached outside Doon Hospital and shot his friend Dishant Rana and fled.
In connection with the incident, a case under Crime No. 371/2025, Section 109/352 IPC (BNS) was registered at Kotwali Nagar Police Station on the complaint of Shivam Singh Rana, son of Naunihal Singh Rana, resident of Rajawala, Selaqui, Dehradun, brother of the injured.
For immediate disclosure of the above incident, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun immediately formed teams and directed them to arrest all the accused involved in the conspiracy of the said incident.
The police took prompt action by reviewing the CCTV footage, inspecting the spot, activating the verbal and intelligence information system and continuously raided the possible hideouts of the accused.
During the continuous raids by the police at the possible hideouts of the accused, two accused involved in the incident were arrested, 1-Rohan Arya, son of Jagdish Prasad, resident of Ekta Vihar, Lane No. 15, Sahastradhara Road, Police Station Raipur, Dehradun, 34 years; 2-Vishal Tomar, son of Dharmendra Tomar.
Mansingh, 26 years, resident of Gujrada, Police Station Rajpur, Dehradun was arrested by the police team after he was found involved in the firing incident and conspiracy.
They were produced before the Hon’ble Court. As per the orders of the Hon’ble Court, both the accused were sent to District Jail Sudhowala.
The arrested accused are
Rohan Arya, son of Jagdish Prasad, resident of Ekta Vihar, Lane No. 15, Sahastradhara Road, Raipur Police Station, Dehradun, 34 years old, Vishal Tomar, son of Dharmendra Tomar, resident of Gujrada Mansingh, Rajpur Police Station, Dehradun, 26 years old.
To search for other accused involved in the above firing incident, 04 teams are continuously raiding the Dehradun and other districts and trying to arrest the accused.
