Cows dying in Kanji house, Dehradun with Cow protection slogan proving mere rhetoric

In the name of cow protection there had been lot of claims, speeches and rhetoric in UTTARAKHAND and elsewhere. There had been unfortunate human killings as well in Rajasthan and some parts of the country including a Cow Protector at large in Haryana whose name is taking rounds in social media to be one of the alleged reasons for the provoked riots in Nuh, Haryana where 129 people supposed to be rioters have been send on police remand and six killed, out of whom two were home guard personnel.
Unfortunately, at Dehradun’s Kanji House where the local Municipal Corporation after catching the stray or pet cows put them here, is in very bad shape where few cows have died of some diseases and due to non feeding of fodder etc.
The Congress party has strongly criticised the Animal Husbandry minister Saurabh Bahuguna , Mayor Uniyal and the Dehradun Municipal authorities for exploiting the cow protection issue and politicising it to bag votes but in practice at KANJI HOUSE THE COWS ARE DYING FOR not getting TREATMENT AND NOT BEING FED WITH FOOD AND FODDER.
According to a news report a poor woman whose cow was caught and put in Kanji house came running to Congress office at Dehradun expressing her grievance about the Kanji house employees demanding Rs 9000 from her to release it.
The woman being a poor and hapless came to the local municipal councillor Urmila Thaper who talked with the veterinary doctor concerned on his mobile.
The veterinary doctor instead of hearing to the councillor and releasing the cow said that since they have fed the cow for three four days they will release it only after they get Rs. 9000 .
As a result the Congress leader and spokesperson Garima Dasauni and Urmila Dhaundiyal Thaper went to the Animal protection shelter at Kanji house and were badly surprised to see the shocking state of affairs.
The animals cows and Buffalo were not being fed water or food, fodder and some cows were in extremely bad state likely to die with disease and non delivery of food and fodder.
There were cow n Buffalo dung and insects all around with animals not given bath for several days.
According to the Congress leaders Dasauni and Councillor Urmila Thapa dozens of cows were dead or likely to die with five cows in extremely serious condition on the verge to die.
There was blood and puss oozing out of the injuries/ wounds of some cow giving a clear idea that they have not been treated for days together.
When the caretaker was asked about the lack of fodder and water etc they said that order has been placed for fodder etc.
It was a total cover up. This is indeed shameful that the UTTARAKHAND government runs from its state capital Dehradun and the honourable governor, CM, his entire cabinet functions from here and the primary and basic slogan of this party is cow protection and stoppage of cow slaughter , but these slogans seem to be mere rhetorics and nothing else. And at Kanji house unfortunately our Gau Matas are dying for want of treatment and food.
Shameful and shocking indeed!
