Congress lawmakers boycott budget session at Gairsain on unemployment issue
The main opposition in Uttarakhand assembly, Congress lawmakers today registered their acrimonious protests at the time of the inaugural speech of governor Baby Rani Maurya at Gairsain Vidhan Sabha and boycotted the first day of budget session on employment issue that commenced today at 11 AM.
The budget session at the summer capital’s Gairsain Assembly commenced with the national anthem followed by the inaugural speech of the governor Baby Rani Maurya.
While the governor Baby Rani Maurya commenced her speech, there were acrimonious scenes in between with Congress members of legislative assembly creating obstruction finally boycotting her speech n the house on the issue of unemployment.
However, the Uttarakhand parliamentary affairs minister and spokesman Madan Kaushik while speaking to reporters said that the opposition has assured the government of their fullest support and cooperation during the budget session. The budget session will continue for four days. The Uttarakhand’s budget will be presented on 4 th of March after discussions. According to Madan Kaushik the budget proposals of 2020,21 will comprise of various socio developmental aspects embodying an all round welfare, well being n development of the state.
