Congress demand expulsion of BJP deputy CM, minister and MP from their party for issuing derogatory statements against martyrs of Pahalgam attacks and their wives

The Congress party on Sunday came down heavily on the BJP MPs and senior leaders for their derogatory remarks against the innocent tourists and their wives including the defence officer of repute like Sofia Qureshi demanding their immediate expulsion from the saffron party further adding that not taking any action against the single BJP leader till now amounts to giving their tacit approval for their bad mouthing or what they have publicly uttered inviting nationwide criticism.

It may be recalled that the Rajya Sabha MP of BJP Ram Chandra Jhangra has recently given a shameful statement saying that the widows whose husbands have been killed by the terrorists in Pahalgam lacked courage and bravery and should have fought with the terrorists instead of crying in anguish.

Not only this but another leader of BJP, the deputy chief minister of Madhya Pradesh had in his statement insulted our bravehearts of Indian Army inviting criticism at the pan India level with another minister of Madhya Pradesh Vijay Shah equating Colonel Sofia Qureshi as the sister of the Pakistan sponsored terrorists in the presence of the local MP and union minister Mrs Thakur and a woman MLA including several spectators. The senior Congress leader, MP and leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge strongly criticizing these BJP erring leaders demanding their expulsion from their parties and termination from government positions wrote on X in a lengthy post :

There is a competition among BJP leaders to malign the victims of Pahalgam and our brave army.

The shameful statement of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ramchandra Jangra has once again exposed the petty mentality of RSS-BJP.

MP’s Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda insulted our brave army, but Modi ji did not take any action.

MP Minister Vijay Shah made lewd remarks against our brave Colonel but has not been dismissed till date.

Even when the wife of the naval officer martyred in Pahalgam was being trolled on social media, Modi ji was silent.

@narendramodi
Yes,

You say you have sindoor in your veins…

If this is so, then you should dismiss these foul-mouthed leaders of yours for the sake of respect of women said Mallikarjun Kharge.

Meanwhile the General Secretary , Incharge of Communication Jairam Ramesh strongly criticized the BJP leaders saying that the BJP leaders are constantly insukting the Indian Army and its Martyrs which unambiguously exposes their petty and lowly mindset.

This shameful statement of Rajya Sabha MP, BJP Jangra shows that he is intoxicated with power becoming so insensitive that instead of blaming the security lapses in Pahalgam he is questioning the martyrs and their widowed wives shamefully said Jairam Ramesh on X.

In his earlier tweet on May 22 , Jairam Ramesh also came down heavily on PM Narendra Modi after his speech in Bikaner saying on X :

Today in Bikaner, the way the Prime Minister once again resorted to hollow dialogues like those in films, it is much more important that he answers the serious questions that the country is asking him-

  1. Why are the ruthless killers of Pahalgam still roaming free? According to some reports, the same terrorist gang was also responsible for three other terror attacks in Poonch, Gagangir and Gulmarg in the last 18 months.
  2. Why have you not chaired any all-party meeting so far? Why were the opposition parties not taken into confidence?
  3. Why did you not call a special session of Parliament to reiterate the resolution passed unanimously by Parliament on February 22, 1994 and to reformulate it to suit the current circumstances in view of the China-Pakistan nexus that emerged during Operation Sindoor?
  4. Why have you remained silent over the past two weeks on the repeated claims being made by US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rubio about America’s role?
