Congress comes down heavily on Lansdowne, Garhwal MLA of saffron party for giving tickets on three seats to his close relatives and wife in the Panchayati elections

The Congress party in Uttarakhand has accused the Lansdowne lawmaker of Garhwal, Uttarakhand for not fulfilling the people’s demands , the development of the area and promoting family rule/ dynasty in the ongoing tripartite Panchayati elections. In a statement the senior Vice President of Congress party in Uttarakhand and former state minister rank holder Dhirendra Pratap has said that from Jehrikhal District Panchayat Basda area seat that falls under the jurisdiction of his assembly constituency his wife is made to contest while from Badgaon area of Jehrikhal block the wife of the real brother of Dalip Rawat, MLA is contesting for District Panchayat membership seat. In addition to this his both the PROs coordinating his constituency and other works Chandrakant Dwivedi and Ranbir Sajwan , both are contesting from Padergaon of Jehrikhal block and Ganna area for district Panchayat membership respectively and both the areas fall under the jurisdiction of Dalip Rawat’s constituency. Coming down heavily on the Lansdowne MLA of the saffron party Dalip Rawat for promoting dynasty rule and nepotism in the party , the senior Vice president Dhirendra Pratap said that on the one hand the party led by PM Narendra Modi emphatically says that it’s party with difference which always opposes dynastic rule and nepotism but in the other hand its MLA Dalip Singh Rawat openly favours and promotes nepotism in his party by giving five tickets in District Panchayat tripartite decentralised elections to his wife two brothers wife n brother and two PROs. This is highly condemnable and uncalled for as though there are no party symbols given in these elections but by giving tickets to three of his family members in three blocks by Dalip Rawat it is absolutely unambiguous that he is using the influence of power and resources to capture three blocks of his constituency by promoting nepotism and dynastic politics openly. He categorically asked as to what has Diplip Rawat fine for his constituency during the last four fifteen years. How many new schools opened , how many hospitals started and how many people got employment asked annoyed Dhirendra Pratap.
