Communist Party of India contesting on 6 seats in Delhi
The Communist Party of India which is also one of the significant constituents of India National Inclusive Developmental Alliance is contesting in six assembly constituencies of Delhi. While the Congress party is also contesting on all the seventy seats in Delhi criticizing AAP an important constituent of INDIA at the national level they claim they have mutual understanding but not at the assembly level. In Punjab assembly elections too Congress and AAP contested against each other and every effort for an alliance failed finally AAP forming the government. Political analysts say that though the BJP couldn’t benefit from the division of votes in Delhi after AAP and Congress contesting in all seats and invading into each other’s vote bank during the last more than ten years this time it may help BJP as BJP’s vote bank seems be enhancing and division of votes between Congress and AAP may benefit the saffron party.
