Circle rates in Uttarakhand increased by 33.6% !
The rates of land in Uttarakhand have become extremely costlier from now onwards. Those who’d bought large tracts of land would be the biggest beneficiaries as the circle rates of the land in Uttarakhand had now been enhanced by more than thirty three percent.
The meeting of the cabinet committee chaired by the Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has given consent to its proposal to increase circle rates by thirty three points 6 percent on Wednesday.
After this cabinet approval now the land in Uttarakhand will be costlier by 33.6% as per the latest circle rates.
According to the latest news in over 2832 areas of Uttarakhand there is an increase in 100 to 300% rates during new land purchase.
Especially in the plain areas like Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and other townships where flow of tourists is tremendous the land rates have gone too high.
There are reports of multiple increase in rates in national highways, newly coming up residential colonies and areas where central and state projects are in progress.
The circle rates of the commercial areas, plains and where there is tremendous movement of tourists, business hectic activities etc have been enhanced whereas in rural areas of interiors like in Almora’s 47 villages the circle rates have been decreased by 46%.
If we talk about the highest circle rate area of Uttarakhand the Mall Road segment of Nainital stands on the top in terms of enhanced circle rates with prices there reaching the top, being highest.
The circle rate there has been increased from 66 thousand per square meter to 1 lakh rupees per square meter.
The new circle rates will come into force from Thursday.
The orders to this effect have been issued on Wednesday by the state finance secretary Dileep Jawalkar, after the cabinet committee meeting ended taking certain policy decisions including on Joshimath situation as well.
This enhancement in circle rates have materialised after a gap of three years due to the Covid pandemic though there is a policy for every year renewal of circle rates.
Talking on the outcome of the cabinet committee meeting the chief secretary Mr. Sandhu said that decision were taken on 52 matters and the circle rates revision are still less compared to the existing commercial rates of land in Uttarakhand.
He revealed that circle rates of 22,912 agriculture related and 34082 other areas have been finalised n enhanced.
This latest enhancement in circle rates have been 32.47% in agriculture lands and 34.83 in non agriculture areas.
He added that the government has worked hard to enhance the rates of land in Uttarakhand keeping in view its logical aspect.
That’s the reason that the circle rates have been below 50% in 49000 areas of Uttarakhand which comprises of 86% of the total area and in 5299 areas i. e. 9% there has been 50 to 100 % enhancement in circle rates. The state will earn Rs 500 to 700 crores annually after the latest increase in land circle rates said chief secretary Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.
