After the 49% fare rise in chopper services to and fro, the escalated fares will put enough pressure on the pilgrims from now inwards, especially the old aged citizens who could not go to the high altitudes due to various ailments like cardiac complications and other diseases.

According to the latest news. This rise in fares of choper flights / ride in Uttarakhand has been done by the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development authority.
According to the chief of the UCADA , IAS Ashish Chouhan who was previously the District Magistrate of Pauri has said that now onwards the flights will be for eight hours and as per the direction of Civil Aviation ministry there will be a full fledged control room to monitor the chopper flights to various destinations. Seven Heli companies will be allowed to fly their choppers to various destinations of Uttarakhand said the chief of the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Authority.
The chief of UCADA Ashish Chouhan said that the rise in fares have been the compelling reasons as the shuttle or sorties of the choppers have been lessened by thirty percent and there is a burden of economic scarcity with the UCADA etc.
This shortage or squeezed financial collections may create complications , hence the chopper fares have been spiked by 49% said Ashish Chouhan, IAS.
He catagorically said that earlier the helicopter tickets to and from were of Rs. 6000 and 8000. After this increase now it will go up to Rs. 8500 and Rs 12000 respectively said Ashish Chouhan.
Mr. Ashish Chouhan-the chief of UCADA justified the rise of 49.00 % Chopper fare in pilgrimage destinations like Badri, Kedar, Gangotri & Yamonatri. But for common people who are Old & sick, will be difficult to afford it.
