In a news published by NBT talking to media angered Surendra Dwivedi today said that before the opening of the Kedarnath temple last year there were news about providing golden plates at the GARBH GRAH OF THE TEMPLE after a businessman of Maharashtra had donated Gold plates weighing 230 kgs worth Rs 125 crores, but they have now come to know that instead of gold , brass ( Portal) was applied inside the GARBH GRAH giving them a look of Gold plates by applying gold polish.
He catagorically said that this is clear cut a misappropriation of Re 125 crores and people want to know the secret behind this entire cheating.
According to the news – last year the Gold plates were fitted on the inner walls of the “Garbh GRAH”, donated by a businessman of Maharashtra. Now, there are news about the said gold having been allegedly disappeared and changed by brass.
The vice president of the Chardham Maha Panchayat Surendra Trivedi said that instead of the Gold, actually brass plates, have been fitted getting them polished as Gold. This is a huge misappropriation of Rs 125 crores said Surendra Dwivedi.
He emphatically said that when the gold was being provided on the walls we had vociferously objected to it. However, the Kedarnath Mandir Samittee continued doing so breaking our traditional religious norms.
But after several months when we went inside the temple we were shocked to find Gold disappearing and in its place brass polished with gold plates were witnessed.
This is a huge Ghotala and Mandir Samittee should investigate it as to how such a large amount of Gold has disappeared and converted into brass polished gold wall inside the Kedarnath Temple.
Mr Surendra Trivedi demanded a thorough probe into this huge misappropriation of Rs 125 crores to punish the guilty officials failing which he shall be compelled to resort to direct action said, Surendra Trivedi outside the ancient historic Kedarnath temple precincts.
