The second time Lok Sabha member of parliament from Chandigarh since 2014 from saffron party, 68 year old Bollywood actress Kirron Kher has been diagnosed with multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer, undergoing treatment by the phenomenal set of doctors in a hospital.
A renowned Bollywood actress who was one of the judges with Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora in ” India got Talent” dance show on television having also acted in several Bollywood films such as Pestonjee, Sardari Begum, Devdas, Khamosh Paani etc Kirron Kher is the wife of prominent versatile veteran actor Anupam Kher and mother of son Sikandar.
She had defeated the former union railway minister Pawan Bansal of Congress from Chandigarh parliametary seat in 2014 and got elected again in 2019 for the second time.
Being ill from November and diagnosed with blood cancer myeloma, Kirron Kher was not so active in Chandigarh during the recent past with the Congress City chief having started a campaign of her missing from Chandigarh during the pandemic lockdown, especially after Chandigarh reported 5000 cases of Covid 19 recently. The city Congress had launched a social media campaign about her being absent during the lockdown, despite the fact that ailing Kieron Kher had a fortnight ago attended a meeting with senior officers of Chandigarh administration.
In a tweet veteran actor and Kirron’s husband Anupam Kher while revealing this anguishing information on Thursday wrote : Just so the rumours don’t get the better of the situation Sikandar ( son) and I would like to inform everyone that Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure, she will come out of this stronger than before. We are very blessed that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors. She has always been a fighter and takes things head on. She is all heart and that’s why she has so many people that love her – tweeted Anupam. Similarly Kirron’s son Sikhdar also revealed about his mother being diagnosed with cancer through his instagram post.
