The condition of certain roads in Delhi are very pathetic especially in areas like Dwarka which has umpteen number of DDA societies and flats and roads of DDA. A picture going viral in social media just received by me as well send by one of my friends exhibits a car literally nose diving inside a road that has caved in few feets below definitely sending shock waves. The way this dangerous nose diving of the car happened after the road caved in due to the monsoon rains, but on account of road being in extremely bad condition due to various reasons either negligence of DDA or other concerned authorities, it seems that the gentleman on the driving seat must have been lucky to save himself . Hope nothing serious or untoward happened. According to the forwarded message with the picture of the nose dived car inside the caved in road of DWARKA maintained by DDA as being given to understand. The message originally sent by Manmohan Singh reads as : Be careful now a days. It is just 10 minutes before. it has happened at Sector 18, Atulya Chowk, Dwarka. The message written below the picture of the nosedived white car says in Hindi : This road belongs to Delhi Development Authority which is under the central government and now some BHAKT’S would say that it is the handiwork of Kejriwal. The sender seems to be an AAP follower who says that Kejrival has nothing to do with it.
Apart politics, this is an extremely tragic situation. The authorities concerned should set right the situation immediately and ensure that such critical situations do not occur in future.
The DDA chairman, if the road is really under DDA should inspect the spot and fix the responsibility on the erring officers n employees to ensure that these tragedies do not recur in future. The author’s information is based purely on the picture received on WhatsApp on Monday evening.
During monsoons, in Delhi due to the alleged carelessness n negligence of the flood control department of Delhi government or MCD n even DDA the roads even in the Lutye Zones n Under bridges get fully inundated in flood waters with traffic coming to halt and traffic snarls becoming order of the day. This happens since years n little is dine to set right the situation. What happened in Sector 18 Dwarka is a reminder to authorities concerned to tighten their belts to avert such critical situation during monsoons in the national capital Territory of Delhi.
