The Gangotri Samajik Sanstha and several other organisations are organising a massive candle March symbolic peaceful protest against the acquittal of the three convicts in an innocent 19 year old Pairing Garhwal girl Kiran Negi. The former chief minister of Uttarakhand and renowned Congress leader Harish Rawat is, also to lead this peaceful protest demanding death to the culprit.
The candle March is being held at 5.00 PM at Beer Chandra Singh Garhwal Chowk near Garhwal Bhawan as a token of solidarity to the noble cause demanding # Justice for Kiran Negi as well as Justice for Anita Bhandari. Meanwhile according to another report a post is being circulated in social media a women namely Great Dhaulakhandi who was under depression had two days ago gone to a chemist shop to buy medicines, but went missing mysteriously finally her dead body found at Tronica city, Loni border. She was the resident of Khajuri Khaas. The news created panic among local Uttarakhandies.
Her anguished husband has lodged A complaint in the concerned police station and the matter is being investigated in depth. A woman Mamta is missing for the last two years from Srinagar and a culprit of a woman allegedly murdered at Dewal, Uttarakhand was brought to justice after a year. The case off the brutal murder of 19 year old Ankit Bhandari a receptionist at Vanantara resort now being investigated by Uttarakhand STF is also in the news these days. A young boy of 17 years old Manoj Negi primarily hailing from Kumaon Uttarakhand was brutally stabbed and killed by hooligans when he tried to object to his young sister being eve teased at Baljit Nagar, Delhi. A meeting was held at Garhwal Bhawan two days ago and a committee was constituted under the stewardship of leading advocate n Delhi High Court Bar Association secretary Sandeep Sharma and his team of advocates to prepare a review petition within thirty days and file it in Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had also assured of his government filing a review petition in Supreme Court considering his moral duty as Kiran Negi was the daughter of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Another senior advocate of Supreme Court n High Court Mr. K. K. Menon has come forward to fight this case free of cost.
Meanwhile several women social activists today protested outside the Supreme Court raising slogans demanding reconsideration of the case giving death sentence to the convicts of late Kiran Negi. They were protesting against the Apex Court verdict. The vociferous women were arrested by Tilak Nagar Police and taken to police station. There was traffic jam for quite some time during this protest demonstration.
