Bus with forty five passengers overturned on Gangotri Highway near Dharasu Nalupani in Garhwal, Uttarakhand , ten injured

There are reports of yet another serious accident about a bus with Madhya Pradesh pilgrims overturning on Gangotri highway near Dharasu Nalupani injuring ten passengers who have been taken to the nearby health centre at Dunda for immediate treatment.

The SDRF teams and local police have reached the accident spot and have evacuated the injured out of the overturned bus taking them to nearby health centre on ambulances.

According to the latest news the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has while expressing his anguish and praying for the early recovery of the injured wrote on X :

The news of the bus accident near Dharasu Nalupani on Gangotri Highway is very sad and disturbing.

District administration and SDRF teams are engaged in relief and rescue work.

First aid is being provided to the injured and referred to higher medical centers for better medical facilities as needed.

Praying for the speedy recovery of all the people affected by the accident. Central and state government stands with all affected people.

The union minister of state for road , transport and highways Ajay Tamta in a post in social media also expressed his anguish assuring that the SDRF and the local police including the medical teams have reached the accident spot and every possible effort is being made to provide them medical assistance including shifting the injured to the nearby Dunda health centre etc. It is said that the driver was speaking to someone on mobile when this accident occured and the bus overturned on the road, thankfully it didn’t fall in the gorge.

There were in all 45 passengers in the bus.
