The Uttarakhand media fraternity today suffered a huge setback when one of the senior journalists , chief of bureau of Jagran stationed at Dehradun and former chief of Dehradun Press club 56 year old Vikas Dhulia breathed his last at his residence at the state capital.
A 56 year old senior journalist with several decades of experience Vikas Dhulia, a tea totaller and non smoker leading a disciplined life style left a void in the journalist circles of Uttarakhand especially Kotdwar Garhwal his hometown from where he started his career as a journalist to finally head the Jagran Bureau at Dehradun.
His popularity among the media fraternity made him the president of Doon Press Club giving him an opportunity to work for the media fraternity.
Also active in Uttarakhand movement by virtue of his immense contribution by way of writing on this issue and giving maximum coverage in Jagran Hindi daily a prominent newspaper of Western UP in particular , Vikas Dhulia will always be remembered as a true friend, a gem of a human being apart from being a senior journalist of ethics and principles.
