Brave encounter Specialist Vinod Badola catches two snatchers after they tried their feat of chain snatching on him.

An encounter specialist and recipient of union home minister’s medal, brave Vinod Badola who is also credited for impounding 330 kgs of heroin worth Rs 1,320 crores , the biggest recovery in Delhi Police’s history Vinod Badola on Saturday evening showed another outstanding feat of bravery by overpowering two snatchers who had pointed a gun at him and snatched his gold chain at Nehru Park, in Chanakyapuri where he had gone for jogging. Little did they knew that they are trying their luck in a wrong person to suffer badly in near future.

The cases of snatchings in various localities of Delhi have become a usual affair with usually women becoming their special and easy targets thus becoming most vulnerable in parks, while walking in streets and roads and market areas.

The hard lucked young snatchers didn’t have idea that the man they are making their prey would come out to be an outstanding encounter specialist and they’ll be behind the bars with all their earlier cases of robberies and snatchings coming to the fore.

According to news reportd 48 years old Vinod Badola is an outstanding brave officer with exceptional calibre having been at the helm of several criminal cases bringing outstanding results not only grabbing the serious criminals and bringing under the police net but also killing some of them in police encounters. According to news reports in 2013 Vinod Badola and his team of special Cell tracked down gangster Nitu Dabodia, a symbol of terror in the society, especially for businessmen and gunned him down in a fierce encounter near a five star hotel in South Delhi’s Vasant Kunj.

Thereafter Vinod was in several other anti terro operations , one of which earned him the coveted union home minister’s medal called Special Operations Medal.

In one of the most laudable and biggest in the history of Delhi police Varun Badola led team of special Cell caught contraband worth Rs 1,320 crores weighing 330 kgs in which nine cartel members including five Afghan nationals were arrested.

There are several other such cases in Vinod Badola’s kitty.

According to the incident on Saturday evening Vinod Badola was in Nehru Park for jogging. All of a sudden while he was busy two snatchers came near him and pointed a pistol snatching the gold chain . The brave encounter specialist immediately made up his mind to take on them. He ran behind them on foot and after great efforts punched one of the snatcher and caught him after a physical fight. Vinod grappled with the snatcher pin him down and first of all disarmed him . The other snatcher however, managed to flee while Varun had held the snatcher.

Meanwhile Badola dialled 112 and the local police and started searching for another accused. While the local police who had arrived by the time but not 112 personal were on search for another culprit – he was seen clandestinely sitting with other persons under a fountain , but was spotted at caught.

According to the DCP New Delhi Devesh Mahla the two snatchers were identified as the residents of Sarojini Nagar and from a Slum Cluster in Tuglakabad namely Gaurav and Pawan Dev. Both of them have been booked under stringent sections under robbery and snatchings. Kudos Vinod Badola for your timely action and bravery bringing both the snatchers to law book.
