Book on various movements of India, particularly on farmers’ movement titled ANDOLANJEEVI released at IIC Delhi acknowledging accolades
A book on various movements in India particular the farmers movement held so far in India was released today in India International Centre, New Delhi attended by good number of journalists, literary personalities, social activists, writers and representatives of farmers movement in India.
The book titled as “ANDOLANJEEVI”, named the the farmers movement activists by prime minister Narendra Modi during his parliamentary debate, ridiculing them during the farmers movement, was jointly inaugurated by the former union minister HRD n veteran BJP leader Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Janta Dal ( U) leader K. C. Tyagi, former general secretary of AICC Janardhan Dwivedi, senior journalist and former editor of Dainik Hindustan Alok Mehta, Publisher of Pakhi and editor of Sunday Post Weekly Apoorva Joshi and two senior strategist of Kisan movement led by popular farmers leader Mahendra Singh Tikaith.
The book primarily highlighting the farmers movement of the country including various other movements from national freedom movement n naxalite movements written by senior journalist Vinod Agnihotri, presently the consulting editor of Dainik Amar Ujala has vast experience of 37 protracted years in hindi journalism. He had covered all these movements during his chequered journalistic career of last 37 years working in senior positions right from reporter to consulting editor of the popular Hindi Daily of Uttar Pradesh, Amar Ujala having worked in Navbharat times fir several years, Nai Duniya and Amar Ujala etc.
A renowned hindi journalist Vinod Agnihotri carries behind him an experience of 37 long years as a journalist covering various events, political parties and farmers movement.
The union Minister of Transport and national highways Nitin Gadkari who was outed from the BJP’s parliamentary party on Wednesday, despite his being the former BJP chief while others being included could not attend this function, though he was the chief guest unambiguously sending a message of his absence due to this very reason, though the organisers of the book release function said that he could not make it due to his being stucked up in a national council meeting convened by prime minister Narendra Modi.
The main attraction if the show apart from Dr. Murli Manihar Joshi was the son of late Sanjay and Maneka Gandhi Varun Gandhi, MP who attended the book release function but was not seated on the stage due to the prefixed arrangement. However, he and Asutosh, senior journalist, who’d left AAP and joined his journalistic profession again was lauded by none other than Apoorva Joshi, senior journalist publisher Pakhi and editor of Sunday Post for his brave outbursts despite his being BJP MP on burning national issues of people’s concern. The former MP and senior journalist Santosh Bhartiya, Jai Shanka Gupt, former general secretary of AICC Mohan Prakash could be seen sitting in the crowd as was Varun Gandhi in the front row.
The programme was a grand success as it was attended by good number of journalists n writers including representatives of the farmers movement. The former HRD minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi who presided over the meeting gave his full time staying in the programme for about three hours waiting for the chief guest Nitin Gadkari but was amused by his absence, despite the assurances of the organisers that he will join them, though late.
