Bollywood n Punjabi Actor Satish Kaul breathed his last after being infected with Covid 19
Popular actor of Punjabi and hindi movies, having worked in more than three hundred films, a one time handsome star Satish Kaul breathed his last in a private charitable hospital in Jullundhar at the age of 74 on Saturday morning on 10 th April, after being infected with Covid 19.
Having commenced his acting during seventies tall and handsome Satish Kaul got good number of roles in Punjabi and Bollywood movies during his career of 28 years till 1998 as he was in good demand, having acted in good number of Bollywood movies to name a few viz Ram Lakhan, Pyar to Hona Hi Tha, Aunty number 1, etc.
His role of Lord Indra in popular Mahabharat television serial and Vikram aur Betal etc during 1985 have have been quite acceptable by TV viewers of Doordarshan as there weren’t private TV channels those days except the former.
He used to move between Punjab and Mumbai doing hindi and punjabi films simultaneously having been quite in demand. Considered as the monarch of Punjabi films his role as a hero in Maula Jutt, Saasi Pannu, Ishk Nimana, Suhaag Chooda and Patola have been lauded tremendously with majority of these Punjabi films being super hit in box office.
Satish Kaul was in financial doldrums as he shifted to Punjab permanently to open an acting school for aspiring artists interested to work in Punjabi or Hindi films in 2011but after hard work of several months the project failed putting him into acute financial quandary.
Satish Kaul also became ill and frail especially after his caress n leg being fractured and hospitalised for several months seeking help from Bollywood. He was admitted in a private hospital and ran shortage of money.
He even appealed to the Mumbai Film Industry for financial support to meet his treatment, medicinal and grocery related bills etc. but of no avail.
According to his sister in Jullandhar Satish Kaul complained of his bad health condition and was admitted to a charitable hospital where he was diagnosed as a Covid 19 patient. After some days of treatment he breathed his last on Saturday, 10 th morning. RIP
