Bollywood actor Rakesh Pandey died of cardiac arrest at the age of 77

The Bhojpuri and Bollywood film actor originally hailing from Nahan Himachal Pradesh Pandey breathed his last yesterday afternoon Arogyanidhi hospital in Mumbai after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of seventy seven.
Having acted in films since 1957 , Rakesh Pandey is a known face of Indian cinema having acted is several hindi movies of Bollywood to name a few viz. Bhayya dooj, Maan jaiye, Ek Gaon ki Kahani, Maya Bazaar, Dil ki Rahen, Chintamani Soordas, Balam Pardesi, Staying Alive, RAW chief, Mahabali Hanuman, Zindagi aur Toofan, Mera Rakshak, Manzil, Apne Dushman, Intezar , Zindagi, Jeewan Jyoti, Adharm, Rakhwala, Vo Main Nahin, Takdeervala, Indian, Amar Prem Champion Darwaza, Eishwar, Beta ho to Aisa, Yudh, Vishwanath, Kafan, Malik Ek, Bhishma, Mangal Dada , Desh Drohi, Lakshya, Devdas etc. He co acted with all the leading stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Jeetendra and others.
The star’s journey with Bollywood commenced with an outstanding debut with renowned producer, director Basu Chatterjee in film Sara Akash in 1969 , the film that gave him special recognition as a noted actor having been felicitated with President’s award.
Actor Rakesh Pandey also acted in few television serials Dehleez and Chotee Bahu. He also acted in multiple lead roles in Bhojpuri films too.
He was trained at the Indian Film Institute Oune and later on joined the Bharatendu Arts Academy of Dramatic Arts. A charming personality with good height and brilliant acting Rakesh Pandey was also associated with In Indian People’s Theatres Pictures Association where he was very active sharpening his skills in natural and realistic acting. His passing away is a huge loss to the film fraternity and a void left by him difficult to be filled.
