Blame games goes on. 23 arrested in Jahangirpuri case. Those involved in Jahangirpuri incident will not be spared at any cost says Police Commissioner.
The Delhi Police commissioner today warned that those spreading fake news and rumours in social media will not be spared and police will take stringent action against the guilty. According to an ANI tweet today the Delhi Police commissioner said that 23 accused have been arrested till now. 9 people including Police personel and one civilian received injuries during the incident.
Analysis of CCTV footage and digital media is being done. The FSL and crime branch teams have visited the scene of crime carrying out investigations in Jahangirpuri.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has also registered FIR against five persons of VHP and Bajrang Dal out of total 23 culprits. The Delhi police commissioner stated that no discrimination will be done against anyone while taking action against the culprits on the basis of caste, creed or political affiliation.
Disclosing the antecedents of the culprits Delhi Police commissioner Asthana said that out of the 23 culprits, there are already cases against 8 miscreants.
Ansar has previous five cases registered against him on charges of Bootlegging, Gambling n violence etc. The remand of the two masterminds Mohammed Ansar and Aslam behind the Jahangirpuri violence have been extended for another two days.
The Shobha Yatra on the ocassion of Hanuman Jayanti took place on 16 th April and according to Delhi Police no permission was granted to the VHP organisers though they had submitted the application seeking permission.
The main culprit whose video went viral in social media pointing pistol towards the Shobha Yatra participants Sonu Chikna who is a meat seller has also been arrested by the crime branch sleuths today.
According to the reports, when the crime branch sleuths went to arrest him in a street at Jahangirpuri, stones were again pelted on them.
Meanwhile the crime branch sleuths and forensic experts today visited the Jahangirpuri areas where the clashes took place and on roofs from where stones and bottles were pelted on police and people injuring several of them.
The home minister Amit Shah also held a high level meeting with Delhi Police commissioner Rakesh Asthana and senior officers and instructed them to take stringent action against the culprits to establish a unique example so that such ugly incidents do not take place in future.
While the blame game is continuing between the BJP and AAM Admi Party with Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta accusing AAP and saying that Ansar is an AAP activist, the Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain has denied, saying that anyone can wear the AAP topi, urging the law enforcing agencies not to spare anyone involved in this incident.
On the other hand hard core muslim leader Mr. Owassuddin has come in defence of the master mind of Jahangirpuri violence Ansar accusing the BJP of strategically targetting the minority community one sidedly.
Defending the main mastermind behind the Jahangirpuri incidents he catagorically said that Ansar had gone to pacify the people rather than being party to the violence.
His violence pacifying a boy holding a dagger in his hand and instructing him politely not to do so is also going viral say news report. Ansar is a Kabaadi by profession and fond of gold chains and gold rings with several channels showing him displacing his richness with flamboyance.
While being taken by police in custody he was seen least worried smiling and admitting that he is responsible for the violence at Jahangirpuri while allegedly responding to media.
According to media reports out of total arrested 18 are Muslims and five Hindus. He even went to the extent of blaming the HM saying since he became the home minister there have been spurt of incidents of violence in various, parts of the country.
