BJP’s strong leader of Delhi, three term MLA and earlier councillor Brahm Singh Tanwar joins AAP in the presence of Kejrival
As the Delhi elections are nearing the Aam Admi Party seems to be in good mood and mode as leaders from both Congress and BJP are joining it.
Yesterday the former four term MLA Matin Ahmed’s Congress district president son Zuber Ahmed and his wife sitting councillor Shagufta had joined Aam Admi Party in the presence of former Delhi CM and national convenor of AAP Arvind Kejrival and today a three term former MLA and former councillor, a heavy weight of BJP in Delhi Braham Singh Tanwar joined AAM ADMI PARTY along with his hundreds of followers in the presence of the former Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival who presented him the “AAP pratik chinh” and to his several important Leutienant s as well.
The former Delhi CM Kejrival also gave him the party cap.
Addressing the audience Arvind Kejrival said that the AAM ADMI Party has been strengthened by an important and popular leader of BJP joining AAP who had been thrice the BJP MLA from Mehrauli and Chatterpur area and also a councillor.
We welcome him into the party fold and assure him of the fullest support and cooperation in the near future said national convenor of AAP Arvind Kejrival.
The former MLA of BJP Brahm Singh Tanwar while joining AAP said that he is very happy to join the AAP with open mind and fullest satisfaction.
He said that he is impressed by the transparent , dynamic, people centric and pro poor people policies of AAP and the leadership of Arvind Kejrival. He is joining AAP with the hope that it will take Delhi and the rural areas towards immense progress in the future and on his part he will render his best services to the party with full dedication and integrity said Brahm Singh Tanwar.
It may be recalled that Brahm Singh Tanwar was elected to the assembly in 1993, 1998 from Mehrauli and 2013 from Chhatarpur, Delhi Assembly constituency.
He is a three time Councillor and three time BJP-MLA from South Delhi district. He was a prominent leader of BJP since the foundation of the party and has been jailed in The Emergency (India).
He is a mass leader of Gurjar community in Delhi. He was also listed as Top 5 Richest Candidates of the 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election.
On 31st October 2024, Tanwar along with his associates, renounced the membership from Bhartiya Janata Party and joined Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of the party chief Arvind Kejriwal.
