BJP winning on all seats as low voting hasn’t affected it negatively says CM Dhami while Harish Rawat says this will help Congress winning

There is lot of talk about the polling percentage going down in Uttarakhand with Congress saying that the BJP votes of 10 to 12 percent have come down and Congress would gain five percent votes this time which would be the reason for Congress party’s victory in the Himalayan state. However, the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is not at all worried saying that the saffron party is winning on all seats. The chief minister says that the low percentage hasn’t been a matter of worry for BJP as the voting percentage was quite satisfactory. The chief minister said the harvesting of the crops, being busy in marriage festivals and other preoccupations may be some reasons for the low voting but it hasn’t in anyway negatively impacted the BJP which is winning on all the five seats may be the margin may come down. On being asked about the BJP workers not able to bring the voters to booths so efficiently as they used to do earlier, the chief minister said that this apathy had been from the voters of the opposition parties whose voters didn’t turned up due to their inactivity and other negative implications. As far as the BJP is concerned it is winning on all the five seats hands down said the chief minister fully assured. However, on the contrary, the former chief minister of Uttarakhand and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat while reacting to low voting in Uttarakhand this time compared to the elections of 2019, said that the BJP is losing a ten to twelve percent chunk of votes this time and this loss of BJP will result in enhancing the about five percent votes of Congress leading to its victory. Harish Rawat said that the government’s negative side has been reflected in this low voting as people were so disenchanted over the state and central government’s apathy that they preferred remain indoors than to vote. Rawat was optimistic of Congress party candidates victory on this count, especially banking his premise on the BJP vote lessening by 12% and Congress party’s vote increasing by five percent. However there is no doubt that pivotal issues like inflation, massive unemployment, corruption , insecurity of women ( Ankita Bhandari case) , cheating and employment scam of UKSSSC etc were raised prominently during these elections by the Congress and UKD candidates with BJP banking on Modi charisma, Ram Temple, UCC, Triple Talaq etc. issues.
