BJP candidate Parvati Das leading by 2,445 votes in Bageshwar till 12 th round of counting !

In Bageshwar assembly constituency by – election for which the counting has commenced this morning, the BJP candidate Mrs Parvati Devi, wife of the deceased saffron party’s sitting MLA Chandan Das is leading by 2455 votes though the counting of few more rounds has to be done still. However, being the electronic counting of EVM it won’t take much time. It has till now completed its 12 th round. There had been 45 % voting in this constituency, less than half which doesn’t give the impression about anti ruling party or anti incumbency votes polled against the ruling political dispensation. However, when the counting had started the Congress candidate Basant Kumar got a lead of 750 votes which gradually came down and he was trailing behind in the 7 th round with BJP candidate Parvati Das leading by 1700 votes which gradually came down to 1542. But after the counting of the 12 th Round the BJP candidate’s margin of victory enhanced further leading by 2,445 which seems to be a big margin in assembly election not do easy to be covered. However, since the counting is still continuing rapidly , nothing can be said in politics as to which way the wind finally flows. But, the way BJP is galloping ahead, the saffron party’s victory die to sympathy votes stands for sure. The UKD’S candidate is on distant third position . The Congress candidate is Basant Kumar and UKD candidate is Arjun Kumar Dev. It seems being a good image of her late husband Chandan Das being popular among his electorates his wife, the BJP candidate may get the sympathy votes from Bageshwar ensuring her victory. This is a usual trend in state politics and national elections as well.
