Because the two ambulances broke on the way, a young woman burnt in jungle fire reached late at AIIMS Rishikesh by the fourth Ambulance breathing her last on the way. So tragic !

Forest fires in Uttarakhand have till now claimed five human lives in various incidents of jungle fires with the sixth today.

There have been news about over 15000 hectares of forest land having been extensively destroyed with flora and fauna too meeting the same tragic fate.

Just consider as to what would be the fate of the reptiles, small ants in abundance, the other animals , birds including leopards, tigers and wild carnivores including those depending on green grass n plants etc.

The incidents of dreaded human kills by man-eaters have also increased manifold with human population in villages in extreme state of panic.

As forest fires are on the increase and subsequent incidents of man-eater human kills, the departments concerned have almost proved to be non effective despite their best efforts to ensure that these tragedies don’t recur.

The employees of forest and wild life department including those dealing with the work to extinguish fires are ill equipped with latest gadgets.

In majority of the forest fire extinguishing incidents the forest employees busy on the job were seen extinguishing fires with the tree branches drawing a sorry figure complaining about not getting adequate equipments to extinguish the forest fires and themselves confronting the risk of respiratory problems etc.

Meanwhile, according to the latest news, a 21 year old woman of Devprayag’s Godan village under Kweeli Palkot Patti newly married Puja wife of Arvind Singh who was grievously injured in the forest fire and admitted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences , Rishikesh on Sunday unfortunately breathed her last sending shock waves all around in Devprayag.

The police has handed over the dead body to the aggrieved parents of the deceased who had complained to the village head about not getting the ambulance services in time despite their best efforts including raising certain serious questions over the pathetic health system leading to the tragic death of their daughter.

According to the latest news the victim who was grievously injured in the forest fire with acute forest burns was taken to CHC Baagi in desperation on Sunday at 4 PM.

From here after tendering her the first aid she was referred to AIIMS RISHIKESH but the ambulance in which after immense efforts she was being ferried stopped at Shiv Murti complaining of a fault.

The second ambulance that reached here after a long wait wait also stopped at Saknidhar demanding repair.

After this the services of another ambulance coming towards Srinagar from Rishikesh was taken and the injured woman was ferried to Kodiyala.

The fourth Ambulance from Shiv Murti reached Kodiyala from where she was hurriedly ferried to AIIMS Rishikesh finally but due to her being late due to two faulty ambulances on the way she unfortunately breathed her last .

This was indeed tragic that out of four ambulance three broke down on the way resulting in the patient reaching the hospital late before which she had already died crying in acute pain. Sorry to say. My heartfelt tributes.
