Be extra cautious, Covid knocking our doors again , 1010 cases in India

The dreaded Covid 19 is back in various countries of the world with India’s several states including Delhi also affected.

The Delhi government has already issued a health advisory in this regard instructing all the chiefs of the private and government hospitals etc to be ready and fully equipped with all the medical equipment and the necessary medicines.

In 2019 onwards the world witnessed 550 million cases with millions of deaths due to this dreaded disease. It was indeed the worst phenomena and four year critical period ever experienced globally.

Today, the Covid 19 in different forms is coming back again having already entered our houses.

There are people who are spreading information not to be panicked and that this sensitivity about Covid coming back is being created to benefit the pharmaceutical companies , hospitals etc. Therefore , people should not be be worried.

But this is not true. We have to be extra careful and protect ourselves and our families by exercising maximum precautions as practised during 2019 to 2023 , the most risky and dangerous Covid times.

Today countries like Singapore, Malaysia etc are witnessing hundreds of cases and India too with Delhi, Maharashtra n other states having several Covid 19 cases and few deaths too especially in comorbidities cases.

Don’t forget that in India, the first case of Covid spread from Kuloor in South where a person was infected with this dreaded ailment in 2019 from a foreign country ( probably middle East) finally spreading it expeditiously in the entire country resulting in millions of deaths.

The moot point is – everyone should be extra careful in this context and be extremely cautious like wearing masks, avoiding crowded places, drinking clean water , washing hands properly, avoiding food from outside eateries and above all keeping all the medicines at home in advance.

According to the latest news while in Delhi and Poona cases of various Covid variants like GBS with negligible deaths of comorbidities cases are coming in , this is spreading fast in foreign countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Washington, California, New York, Virginia etc (at airports) where cases of NB1.8.1 variants were detected during the Covid testing exercises.

In America several cases of this particular variant has been detected reveal sources.

This fact has been disclosed by the Chinese Centre of Disease Control.

In India too in several states the JN1 variant cases of Covid have been detected.

According to the statistics shared by Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data ( GISAID) majority of the cases are being detected in Japan, South Korea, France, China, and other countries travelling to the air channel.

This fact was revealed after several cases of the variants of Covid 19 were detected while testing these travellers at airports between 22 April to 12 May, 2025.

The latest statistics of India reveal that there are 1,010 active Covid 19 cases as per the figures given by the Ministry of Health, Government of India.

On May 19 there were a total of 257 cases which were detected. Today’s spike in Covid 19 cases is worrisome as this is a four time rise in Covid cases.

According to Scroll.in on Monday, Kerala reported the highest number of active Covid-19 cases in the country at 430, marking an increase of 335 since May 19. Maharashtra recorded the second-highest number of active cases at 210 – up by 154 since May 19 – followed by Delhi with 104 active cases, a rise of 99 since that date.
