BATHAUN PART 2 the sequel of Subheru Gham to be released at Dehradun next week
Highlighting the plight of massive exodus of people from Uttarakhand villages to cities, towns n metropolises in view of non availability of job avenues, due to lack of basic health facilities and quality education with hundreds of villages becoming ghost villages, Snowy Mountain production written and directed by a renowned actress of Uttarakhand Urmi Negi, having also acted in about dozen of Hindi films and several Garhwali movies like Ghar Javain, Kauthig, her home production Fyonli and Subheru Gham namely Bathaun Party 2 a sequel to Subheru Gham is all set for its dashing release in Dehradun with fanfare, the next week.
After having run house full in several theatres of Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, NCR and Mumbai etc, meticulously produced with lot of passion – Subheru Gham part 2 ” BATHAUN”, in Garhwali dialect – primarily highlighting the plight of Uttarakhand villages becoming ghost villages due to mass exodus and losing its cultural, traditional and ancient historical credibility was shot in the serene beautiful valleys of the Himalayas and Pauri Garhwal with Thamana village chosen as a ghost village situated near Pauri township just eight kilometres away.
The managing director of Snowy mountain, a renowned actress and director of Uttarakhand Films Urmi Negi took her entire cavalcade of camera crew , equipments and assistants from Mumbai during Covid times with her entire unit having suffered from this dreaded epidemic including several actors. Such was her professional commitment to shoot “Bathaun”, part 2, a sequel of Subheru Gham that ran house full in all theatres of Uttarakhand and elsewhere before dreaded Covid times .
Born and brought up in Pauri village, of Pauri Garhwal district – Urmi Negi had a special choice, knack and penchant for acting and working in Bollywood films when she was young. However, she finally made it possible after heading for Mumbai decades ago by the dint of her hard work and dedication having worked with superstars like Devanand, Rajesh Khanna, Mithun Chakraborty n many others in lead roles, with her heart being in the serene valley of Garhwal Uttarakhand wanting to make her own regional films to send across a message against prevailing evils in our society too.
Her first self production was Fyonli, Subheru Gham the next one and finally its sequel BATHAUN PART 2 to be released next week at Dehradun with full fanfare.
SUBHERU GHAM was such a super duper hit that not only did the audience cried and clapped out if emotions but it also reached Canada film festival being screened amid cheers – winning awards n international recognition.
The songs of the film have been sung by none other than Uttarakhand’s singing legend Narendra Singh Negi amd Padma Shree Jagar Samrat Preetam Bhartwan.
The mesmerising music too has been given by Uttarakhand Swar Samrat Narendra Singh Negi.
The film has been directed, written and produced by Urmi Negi.
Prominent among those who’ve acted in this movie are former national hockey goal keeper Ranjan Negi, having also acted in Subheru Gham earlier, Manju Bahuguna, Sushila Rawat , Sanyogita Dhyani , popular comedian of Uttarakhand n former state minister rank holder Ghana and Ghana Bhai, Surendra Rawat etc.
